Bangladesh won the toss and elected to field, putting India to bat. The opening duo of Smriti Mandhana (36 runs) and Priya Punia (7 runs) fell to the bowling prowess of Rabeya Khatun and Marufa Akter. However, Harmanpreet Kaur’s gritty 52 and Jemimah Rodrigues’ commanding 86 guided India to a formidable position. Harleen Deol contributed 25 runs as India finished their innings at 228/8 in 50 overs.
With the ball, Jemimah proved unstoppable, bagging a four-wicket haul and dismantling the Bangladeshi middle order, dismissing Ritu Moni, skipper Nigar Sultana, Nahida Akter, and Marufa Akter. Devika Vaidhya impressed with her three wickets, removing Fargana Hoque, Rabeya Khatun, and Sultana Khatun.
India’s all-round performance ensured a commanding victory, with Jemimah emerging as the standout performer.
