During the ongoing WPL match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Delhi Capitals, RCB’s Georgia Wareham nearly replicated AB de Villiers’ iconic catch as she made a spectacular dive.
During the ongoing match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Delhi Capitals at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, RCB’s Georgia Wareham showcased an incredible fielding effort that left spectators in awe. Positioned near the boundary line, Wareham executed a remarkable diving attempt to prevent a boundary hit by Shafali Verma during the 11th over of Delhi’s innings.
Although she narrowly missed taking the catch, Wareham’s acrobatic dive drew comparisons to AB de Villiers’ legendary catch during an IPL match between RCB and Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2018.

Earlier, RCB opted to bowl first after winning the toss against Delhi Capitals (DC). Despite a disappointing last season, RCB has shown significant improvement this year. They secured victories in their first two matches, defeating UP Warriorz by two runs and Gujarat Giants by eight wickets, emerging as the only unbeaten team so far in the tournament.
In the ongoing match, Shafali Varma and Alice Capsey led DC’s strong start, putting on 82 runs for the second wicket in just 43 balls. Shafali reached her half-century in 30 balls with consecutive sixes but was dismissed soon after.
