During team celebrations at the Gabba, Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood humorously ushered away his COVID-positive teammate Cameron Green.
In a fun incident at the Gabba, Australian bowler Josh Hazlewood playfully ushered away his COVID-infected teammate, Cameron Green, during team celebrations following the dismissal of West Indies’ Kraigg Brathwaite on the first day of the second Test. Despite Green’s infection, he dutifully observed safety protocols, maintaining a safe distance and participating in an ‘air fist bump’ with Hazlewood. Hazlewood, in a light-hearted mood, comically signaled for Green to maintain distance during the celebration with the rest of the team.

Declared fit under prescribed protocols, Green, joined the team, evident in the enforced social distancing measures during the national anthem. Positioned a few feet apart from his teammates, Green’s adherence to safety measures was noticeable.
On the match front, choosing to field first, Australian bowlers, led by Hazlewood, maintained control with the new ball. Hazlewood’s impressive form persisted as he dismissed Brathwaite for the second time in the series.
