Kuldeep Yadav’s revenge was quick as he dismissed Jonny Bairstow in the same over after an on-field altercation between Bairstow, Shubman Gill, and Sarfaraz Khan during the ongoing fifth Test.
During the ongoing fifth Test match between India and England at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala, tensions flared between Shubman Gill and Jonny Bairstow, resulting in a heated exchange of words.
The verbal fight began after Bairstow sought to retaliate against Gill’s attempt to unsettle him by reminding him of his dismissal earlier in the Test match by James Anderson. Gill, who had previously showcased his batting with a brilliant innings of 110 runs, promptly fired back, highlighting Bairstow’s lackluster performance in the series. Bairstow, in turn, attempted to deflect attention by questioning Gill’s record in England.
However, the confrontation between the two players ended with Kuldeep Yadav dismissing Bairstow shortly after the argument.

Earlier, reminding Gill about his dismissal, Bairstow quipped, “What did you say to Jimmy about getting tired and he got you out after that?” to which Gill promptly responded, “So what, it was after a hundred. How many have you got here?”
“How many have you got in England?” Bairstow countered.
Sarfaraz Khan then chimed in, teasing Bairstow saying, “Abe thoda sa run kya bana liya series me, jyada uchhal raha! (Hey, you’ve scored a few runs in the series, now you’re showing off too much!)”
India found satisfaction as Kuldeep dismissed Jonny Bairstow shortly after this spat. Unfortunately, it concluded a disappointing series for Bairstow, who failed to convert his starts into substantial scores, ending with 238 runs across 10 innings, his highest being 39.
