The Indian cricket team is all set to make a thrilling return to ODI action in a three-match series against the West Indies starting Thursday. The series holds special significance as it marks the return of several white-ball specialists to international cricket after nearly four months.
In a pre-series surprise, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) revealed new jerseys for both the men’s and women’s teams.
The Test kit had already made its debut during the WTC final against Australia in London and has now received further modifications due to a new lead sponsor. Recently, the women’s team showcased the white-ball kits during their Bangladesh tour, and now the men’s team eagerly anticipates donning the same during their West Indies limited-overs tour.
Posing in their new jerseys, Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan, Sanju Samson, Yuzvendra Chahal, Jaydev Unadkat, Kuldeep Yadav, and others brought smiles all around. Ishan and Gill were spotted sharing laughter and playfully joking while posing for the camera. Yuzvendra Chahal’s jubilant return after a 2- month’s break added to the merriment, while Umran Malik’s fresh hairdo also grabbed attention.
