Ravindra Jadeja’s prank on the home crowd and MS Dhoni’s surprise entry at number 4 was one of the highlights of the CSK vs KKR IPL match.
In the Kolkata Knight Riders versus Chennai Super Kings match on April 8th, amidst several intense moments, a light-hearted incident stole the spotlight as Ravindra Jadeja playfully teased the CSK crowd by walking ahead of MS Dhoni’s entry onto the field.
The humorous moment occurred after Shivam Dube’s dismissal by Vaibhav Arora when it seemed like Jadeja would come out to bat to finish the match. However, as Jadeja strode down the pavilion with his bat and pads, he suddenly turned back midway, leaving the crowd in disbelief. The surprise entry of Dhoni at number 4 delighted the home crowd, leading to a joyous eruption of cheers. Watch the video below:
Though MS Dhoni came in at number 4 to finish off the match, the ball was in CSK’s court way earlier. Ravindra Jadeja, who was awarded Player of the Match, picked up three crucial wickets for KKR alongside Tushar Deshpande, who also scalped three wickets to dismantle KKR’s batting order. The Knights could only put up a total of 137, which was easily chased down by Chennai with 14 balls to spare.
