Speaking of the match, India dominated England in the T20 World Cup semi-final, winning by a convincing 68 runs. Despite early rain delays and Virat Kohli’s continued struggles (scoring only 9 runs), India managed to post a competitive total of 171/7 thanks to a crucial half-century from Rohit Sharma (57) and valuable contributions from Suryakumar Yadav (47) and the lower middle order.
England’s chase never got off the ground. Openers Jos Buttler and Jonny Bairstow fell cheaply to Axar Patel, who continued his dominance by dismissing Moeen Ali. Jasprit Bumrah also struck early, removing Phil Salt. The pressure mounted as England lost five wickets before even reaching 50 runs.
