After Sarfaraz Khan was run out on his Test debut following a miscommunication with Ravindra Jadeja, India captain Rohit Sharma was captured expressing his frustration.

During the ongoing third Test against England at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Rohit Sharma’s emotions boiled over as he reacted angrily to the run-out of debutant Sarfaraz Khan, who had just scored a commendable 62 runs.

The incident unfolded in the 82nd over’s fifth ball, with Ravindra Jadeja batting at 99. Jadeja hit James Anderson’s delivery towards mid-on, signaling for a run and taking a few steps forward. But noticing Mark Wood ready to field, he canceled the run, leaving Sarfaraz stranded. With no time to return, Wood aimed and struck the stump directly, dismissing Sarfaraz.

Witnessing the unfortunate dismissal, Rohit vented his frustration by slamming his cap against the door and uttering a few expletives.

Sarfaraz’s innings, which included nine fours and one six, marked a promising start to his Test career, with his maiden fifty achieved in just 48 balls. This was the second-fastest after Hardik Pandya’s debut performance against Sri Lanka in 2017.

Immediately after Sarfaraz’s run out, Jadeja scored a simple single, securing his fourth Test century. Sarfaraz appeared dejected in the dressing room. Jadeja’s subdued celebration followed as he reached his milestone.

India ended the day at 326/5, with Jadeja unbeaten on 110, while Rohit Sharma contributed with 131 runs.
