Pakistan arrived a day ahead of the Indian team, having recently triumphed in a high-scoring thriller against Sri Lanka during their last match in Hyderabad.
Following their convincing victory over Afghanistan on October 11th, Team India surged from fifth to second place on the points table, while Pakistan slipped to third due to a lower net run rate.
In the ODI World Cup history since 1992, India and Pakistan have clashed seven times, with India emerging victorious in every encounter. The Men in Blue will aim to uphold this unbeaten record in Ahmedabad.
