After the match ended in a draw, Samson, also Kerala’s skipper, delighted fans by personally engaging with them. On the match front, the game between Kerala and UP ended in a draw. UP batted first, scoring 302 runs. Kerala replied with 243 runs. In their second innings, UP declared at 323 runs, with Aryan Juyal and Priyam Garg both hitting centuries. Setting a target of 383 runs, Kerala reached 72 for 2 before the game was called off.
Samson has also secured a spot in the Indian squad for the upcoming T20I series against Afghanistan, set to kick off in Mohali on Thursday. However, Hardik Pandya, who briefly led in T20Is, is out due to an ankle injury suffered during the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. Additionally, Surykumar Yadav will also miss the series due to injury.
