In a surprising turn of events, a snake made an uninvited appearance on the field during the LPL T20 clash between Galle Gladiators and Dambulla Giants, causing a momentary halt in the game.Β
The Giants, on a chase for 181 runs, were at 27 runs for the loss of 2 wickets after 4 overs when the serpent made its way onto the field. Fortunately, the reptilian guest was soon cleared, and the match resumed after this unique interruption.

Gladiators had set a challenging target of 181 runs, led by Bhanuka Rajapaksa’s explosive 48 off 34 balls, supported by Shakib Al Hasan and captain Dasun Shanaka. Dambulla Giants fought back with a formidable middle-order attack, scoring 180 runs and taking the match into a Super Over.
In a nail-biting finish, Gladiators clinched victory in just two balls, with Rajapaksa’s brilliant hitting. Dasun Shanaka’s all-around performance earned him the well-deserved Player of the Match award.
