The clash between India A and Bangladesh A during the semi-final of the Emerging Asia Cup 2023 once again highlighted the intense rivalry between the two cricketing nations.

During the match in Colombo, tensions soared as India A’s fast bowler, Harshit Rana, found himself in the midst of a heated altercation with Bangladesh A’s batsman, Soumya Sarkar. The incident unfolded on the second ball of the 26th over when Yuvrajsinh Dodiya’s delivery led to Nikin Jose’s spectacular diving catch, claiming Sarkar’s wicket.

However, Sarkar was not convinced whether it was a clean catch and stood at the crease, seeking confirmation. The situation quickly escalated as some of the celebrating Indian players gestured for Sarkar to leave the field. However, players like Sai Sudharshan stepped in and managed to diffuse the tension, preventing the situation from escalating further.
