On Day 3 of The Gabba Test against Australia, West Indies all-rounder Kavem Hodge playfully engaged in a ‘bail change’ review during a break that has since gone viral. Spotting a technician adjusting the bails, Hodge seized the opportunity for entertainment.
On the stump mic, Hodge comically requested a ‘bail change review,’ saying, “We have a review for bail change, please give me your best bail angle. Seems like a fair bail,” causing laughter from both players and even the technician. This light-hearted comment was a humorous take on the typical DRS review process.
Since his Test debut against Australia, Hodge has displayed his prowess. He contributed significantly with the bat, scoring 71 off 194 deliveries. Teaming up with wicket-keeper Joshua da Silva, their partnership played a key role in the team’s total of 311 in the first innings during the series.
On the match front, Australia is chasing a target of 216 runs to secure a 2-0 series win against the West Indies in the Gabba Test on Day 4.
