The incident occurred during the second inning, as MI chased RCB’s target. While switching fielding positions, Kohli playfully nudged Sharma on the back. Sharma, recognising his teammate’s gesture, turned back with a smile, offering a friendly thumbs-up and a nod. Despite the friendly exchange, the match itself was not a fruitful one for Virat Kohli and RCB. Kohli struggled with the bat, scoring only 3 runs as RCB set a target of 197 runs. MI chased down the total comfortably in just 15.3 overs, securing a dominant victory.

Bagging their second win of the season, the Mumbai Indians have pushed themselves up the IPL points table and currently sit in the seventh position. Whereas, RCB’s consecutive loss finds itself in the second-last position on the table above the Delhi Capitals.
RCB will next face the Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 15th, while MI will host the Chennai Super Kings at Wankhede on April 14th.
