The West Indies announced their 15-man squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024.
Two-time T20 World Cup champions, the West Indies, have revealed their squad for the upcoming edition of the tournament, co-hosted by the USA and Caribbean nations. The global event will be held from June 1st to June 29th, 2024.
Powell will lead the West Indies’ charge for their third World Cup title. The squad sees the exciting inclusion of young fast bowler Shamar Joseph, who has been impressive in recent matches. Also making a comeback is batter Shimron Hetmyer, who was absent from the recent T20I series against Australia.
However, batter Kyle Mayers, who featured in the Australia series, is missing from the World Cup squad selection. It’s also worth noting that Cricket West Indies has opted not to name any reserve players for the tournament.

The Caribbeans are the tenth team to announce their squad for the T20 World Cup. Other cricketing giants like India, New Zealand, England, Australia, and South Africa have already revealed their teams for the highly anticipated competition.
West Indies Squad for T20 World Cup 2024: Rovman Powell (c), Alzarri Joseph, Johnson Charles, Roston Chase, Shimron Hetmyer, Jason Holder, Shai Hope, Akeal Hossain, Shamar Joseph, Brandon King, Gudakesh Motie, Nicholas Pooran, Andre Russell, Sherfane Rutherford, Romario Shepherd.
They are part of Group C alongside Afghanistan, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and Uganda. The two-time Champions will kick off their campaign on June 2nd against PNG in Guyana.
