Bollywood icons Shah Rukh Khan, Kartik Aaryan, Varun Dhawan, Tiger Shroff, Sidharth Malhotra, and Shahid Kapoor are all set to headline the Women’s Premier League opening ceremony in Bengaluru.
Bollywood’s leading lights, including Shahrukh Khan, Tiger Shroff, Shahid Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Kartik Aaryan, and Sidharth Malhotra, will grace the opening ceremony of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024 at Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium on February 23.
Shah Rukh Khan’s association with cricket began in 2008 when he became the owner of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the IPL. Since then, he has expanded the franchise to other countries like the West Indies, UAE, and the USA.
This season’s WPL opening ceremony promises to be as star-studded as ever, continuing the tradition of featuring Bollywood’s biggest names.

Following the Bollywood extravaganza, the WPL 2024 kicks off with a showdown between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Delhi Capitals (DC). Led by Meg Lanning, DC aims to avenge their previous loss to MI, helmed by Harmanpreet Kaur.
Last season, UP Warriorz, captained by Alyssa Healy, reached the Eliminator but fell to Mumbai. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Gujarat Giants (GT) seek redemption after missing playoffs.
Matches will also be held at New Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium, including the Eliminator on March 15 and the Final on March 17.
