Kolkata Knight Riders introduced Allah Ghazanfar for Mujeeb Ur Rahman, while Rajasthan Royals signed Keshav Maharaj instead of Prasidh Krishna for IPL 2024.

In the latest developments for IPL 2024, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) have made significant squad changes. KKR has named Allah Ghazanfar as the replacement for the injured Mujeeb Ur Rahman, while RR has added Keshav Maharaj to their squad in place of Prasidh Krishna.

“Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) named Allah Ghazanfar as replacement for the injured Mujeeb Ur Rahman while Rajasthan Royals (RR) added Keshav Maharaj to the squad in place of Prasidh Krishna for the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024,” the official statement from IPL read.

Ghazanfar, with limited international exposure, joins KKR for INR 20 Lac, bringing with him a modest record of 5 wickets in 2 ODIs, along with appearances in 3 T20s and 6 List A matches.

On the other hand, Prasidh Krishna’s injury prompted RR to bring in the seasoned South African cricketer, Keshav Maharaj. Maharaj boasts an impressive track record across formats, having played numerous international matches and T20s, while also contributing with valuable runs. RR secured Maharaj’s services for a base price of INR 50 Lac.
