Payment Methods for Online Betting in India
We test deposits and withdrawals on every operator we review. This hub covers the payment methods available across our 11 reviewed sportsbooks — how they work, how fast they are, and which operators support each option.
Most Popular Payment Methods
These three methods are the most widely used by Indian bettors across our reviewed operators.
UPI
India’s most popular instant payment system. Works with any bank account via apps like Google Pay, PhonePe, or your bank’s own UPI app. In our testing, deposits were consistently instant and withdrawals typically arrived within 1–24 hours depending on the operator.
Paytm
India’s largest digital wallet, familiar to most users. Deposits via Paytm wallet or Paytm UPI are typically instant. Some operators treat Paytm as a separate method with its own deposit limits; others route it through general UPI flows.
Bitcoin & Crypto
The fastest withdrawals we’ve tested — often under an hour. Most operators accept BTC, ETH, and USDT. Melbet offers the widest selection with 20+ altcoins. Betway and Dafabet do not support crypto.
All Payment Methods
Every deposit and withdrawal option available across our reviewed sportsbooks.
UPI
India’s instant bank transfer system. Accepted at every operator in our testing. Typically the fastest fiat deposit option.
Paytm
Digital wallet + UPI. Familiar interface for most Indian users. Widely supported with instant deposits in our tests.
PhonePe
UPI-based app with wide adoption. Accepted directly or via generic UPI flows at 8 of 11 reviewed operators.
Net Banking
Direct bank-to-operator transfer via your bank’s internet portal. Broadly supported, typically slower than UPI in our tests.
Bitcoin & Crypto
BTC, ETH, USDT accepted at most operators. Fastest withdrawal method available. Not supported by Betway or Dafabet.
Visa
Accepted at some operators, but Indian-issued Visa cards are frequently blocked by banks for gambling transactions.
Mastercard
Listed at several operators, but Indian-issued cards are often blocked at the gateway level. Unreliable in our testing compared to UPI.
RuPay
India’s domestic card network. Limited acceptance at offshore sportsbooks compared to Visa/Mastercard.
Skrill
UK-regulated e-wallet accepted at 7 of 11 reviewed operators. Fast processing, but currency conversion fees apply when depositing in INR.
Neteller
Established e-wallet supported at 5 of 11 reviewed operators. Instant deposits, no operator fees, but Neteller charges its own currency conversion fees.
AstroPay
Prepaid virtual card popular in emerging markets. Accepted at Fun88 and 10CRIC. Good privacy option — no bank details shared.
Bank Transfer (IMPS/NEFT)
Direct bank transfer for larger amounts. Slowest option but works reliably when other methods face limits.
Cash on Delivery
Niche option available at very few operators. Typically involves third-party agent pickup. Not recommended as primary method.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the fastest way to deposit at an Indian betting site?
In our testing, UPI and Paytm were consistently the fastest — deposits typically arrived within seconds across the operators we reviewed. UPI is our top recommendation because it works with any bank account and doesn’t require a separate wallet.
What is the fastest withdrawal method?
Cryptocurrency withdrawals were consistently the fastest in our testing, often completing in under an hour. Among fiat options, UPI withdrawals were the quickest — some operators processed them within 15 minutes, while others took up to 24 hours. Based on our tests, 22bet and 1xBet handled UPI withdrawals fastest, though processing times can change.
Do Indian betting sites charge deposit or withdrawal fees?
In our testing, none of the 11 operators charged fees on UPI, Paytm, or net banking transactions. For crypto, standard blockchain network fees apply — these are set by the network, not the operator. Bettilt was the only operator where we noted network fees explicitly passed through on crypto withdrawals. Check the individual operator’s cashier page for current fee details.
Can I use my Indian bank card (Visa/RuPay) at offshore betting sites?
Some operators accept Visa and Mastercard, but Indian banks frequently block gambling-related transactions. In our experience, card deposits were unreliable. We recommend UPI or Paytm instead — in our tests they were more reliable and widely supported.
Do I need KYC verification before I can withdraw?
In our testing, every operator we reviewed required identity verification (KYC) before processing a first withdrawal. You’ll typically need a government-issued ID (Aadhaar, PAN, or passport) and proof of address. We recommend completing KYC soon after registration to avoid delays when you’re ready to withdraw.
