Ollie Robinson has been in the limelight since the start of the Ashes after he gave a over-aggressive send-off to Usman Khawaja in the first innings of the first Ashes Test. Usman Khawaja scored a brilliant 141 runs, and was cleaned by Ollie Robinson by an absolute great yorker. But Ollie Robinson was all fired up after the wicket.

Also in the post day conference, Ollie Robinson mentioned that Australia don’t have a much batting lower down the order. He said, “Once we get past Cummins, we feel like they’ve got three No.11s. It’s something that we can target through the series and try and wrap up their innings quite quick and try and give us that momentum into our batting innings.”

But to Robinson’s contrary, Australia won the first test in a thriller by 2 wickets. Their No.9 and No.10s Scott Boland and Nathan Lyon played a pivotal role in their win. Scott Boland scored 20(40) as a night-watchman. Nathan Lyon put on a match-winning partnership of 55 runs with Pat Cummins. Nathan Lyon scored 16*(28).

In a recent interview, Nathan Lyon was asked about the comments from Ollie Robinson. Lyon said, “To be honest with you, I am a no.11. It’s just that Josh won’t let me bat no.11. That’s all a bit of banter and I’ve got absolutely no dramas with that.” as quoted by Daily Mail.
