A video of Pat Cummins’ cheeky comments teasing Virat Kohli in the nets went viral ahead of the RCB vs SRH clash.
Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bengaluru are gearing up for their second encounter in IPL 2024. Ahead of this much-anticipated clash at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, a lighthearted exchange between the two teams’ star players has caught the eye of fans.
A video shared by RCB on social media showed Pat Cummins, the current captain of SRH, approaching Virat Kohli during a net session and teasing the latter by boasting his batting skills. “The coach was saying I was making that wicket look flat. That’s all I heard,” Cummins said with a laugh, implying that his batting was so good it made the pitch seem easy. Kohli, ever the sportsman, responded with a smile and a playful compliment: “You’re too good, Pat!” Watch the video below:
This clip has gone viral, giving fans a glimpse of the camaraderie that exists even between competitors in the high-pressure environment of the IPL.
Meanwhile, SRH finds itself in a strong position in the tournament. The first meeting against RCB saw SRH emerge victorious by a convincing 25 runs, with skipper Pat picking up three wickets for the team.
