Punjab Kings co-owner Preity Zinta criticized the spread of false news articles suggesting her interest in appointing Rohit Sharma as captain, asserting she never discussed such matters in any interview. She expressed disappointment over the timing of these reports amid Shikhar Dhawan’s injury, emphasizing the need for media to verify information before circulation to avoid embarrassment to all parties involved.
Zinta also urged media outlets to focus on the team’s performance in IPL 2024 rather than spreading baseless rumors.
