Ireland posted a big total on the board in the first innings against UAE. They scored 394/4 in 50 overs, thanks to the brilliant knock from Paul Stirling. He scored a blistering 162 off just 134 balls which included 15 fours and 8 sixes.

In return UAE started the innings well. Muhammad Waseem played a good cameo of 45(32). But he got out in a weird manner and a great presence of mind from the Ireland captain Andrew Balbirnie.

In the second ball of 8th over, Mark Adair bowled a bouncer that hit the gloves of Muhammad Waseem, he was in pain and called for medical support immediately. But he forgot get back to the crease before the ball was dead, and the Ireland captain took the complete advantage of it.

Andrew Balbirnie throwed the ball and Waseem was standing out of the crease. Eventually, the umpire gave it out and Muhammad Waseem had to walk back to the dressing room.

It was a bizarre incident, but credit to the presence of mind from the Ireland captain Andrew Balbirnie.
