The World Test Championship 2023 final has kicked off today. India won the toss and elected to field first. Australia scored a mammoth total of 469 runs. In reply, India were off to a poor start but Ajinkya Rahane and Shardul Thakur put on a good partnership to take India to a good total of 296.
Starting on Day 4, with a lead of 296 runs, Australia lost Marnus Labuschagne very early, but Cameron Green and Alex Carey were looking solid in the crease. In the 63rd over, Cameron Green was defending off Ravindra Jadeja with his pads. In the last ball of the over, Cameron Green tried a similar way of defending but this time the ball brushed off his pads then bounced on to the stumps.
