In the opening T20I, India narrowly missed victory by a mere four runs, yet Tilak Varma’s debut sparkled. Displaying athleticism, he snared a remarkable running catch, dismissing Johnson Charles for three. But it was Tilak’s batting brilliance that stole the show – a dynamic 39 off 22 balls, adorned with two fours and three towering sixes.
BCCI shared a video where the South African champ congratulated Tilak on his India debut, saying, “Hey brother, I don’t know if I am more excited than you, but congratulations on your debut. It’s such a great moment for you and your family. I can just imagine how happy your parents must be. It’s great to see you out there, living the dream.”
Varma was stoked, calling it a “sweet surprise” from his brother.
