In his comeback match, Jasprit Bumrah made a stunning impact by claiming two wickets in the very first over against Ireland in the opening T20 International.

After an 11-month hiatus due to a recurring back injury, Jasprit Bumrah marked his comeback by swiftly dismissing Ireland’s Andy Balbirnie on the second ball of the inaugural T20 International in Dublin. Following this, he secured his second wicket by removing Lorcan Tucker off the fifth ball of the opening over.

Beginning with a loose full delivery down the leg side, the skipper witnessed Balbirnie’s gentle flick to the square-leg boundary. Bumrah swiftly adjusted his line, delivering full outside off. The ball subtly curved in, finding Balbirnie’s inside edge before dismantling the stumps.

Weathering a couple of deliveries, including a precise yorker, the No. 3 batsman Lorcan Tucker eventually displayed impatience, opting for a ramp shot against a wide delivery outside off-stump. Regrettably, the attempt resulted in a straightforward catch to wicketkeeper Sanju Samson.

Concluding the over, Bumrah delivered another inswinger that Harry Tector defended. The over yielded four runs but saw the fall of two wickets, marking a turbulent beginning to Ireland’s innings.
