India’s captain, Rohit Sharma, exudes unwavering confidence in securing victory at the Asia Cup 2023 with his resounding declaration.

As the Asia Cup 2023 approaches, Rohit Sharma radiates confidence in India’s potential victory. The tournament, scheduled to kick off on October 30, will be jointly hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka. India, boasting 7 titles (6 ODI and 1 T20I), holds the record for the most successful team in Asia Cup history.

Notably, Rohit had led the Men in Blue to a triumphant title win during the last 50-over format edition in 2018, securing victories against Pakistan and clinching the championship against Bangladesh in the UAE.

As the Indian squad readies for a 6-day training camp in Bengaluru, Captain Rohit Sharma departed from Mumbai airport. In a brief interaction with the paparazzi, one photographer expressed, “Rohit sir, Asia Cup ka wait hei (Rohit sir, we will be waiting for the Asia Cup).” To this, Rohit Sharma responded with unwavering confidence, “Jeetenge, Jeetenge (We will win),” delighting fans.

India had revealed a robust 17-player roster for the tournament, accompanied by Sanju Samson in the role of backup. Led by Rohit Sharma, the team received a significant boost with the comebacks of KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, and Jasprit Bumrah. Tilak Varma’s selection adds an element of surprise to the lineup.
