Virat Kohli’s athletic and accurate throw on the wicket runs out GT’s Shahrukh Khan in the 13th over.
The Royal Challengers Bengaluru versus Gujarat Titans Clash on May 4th witnessed an ever-fit Virat Kohli once again as the former RCB skipper made a scintillating throw to run out GT’s batter Shahrukh Khan.
After GT’s lacklustre performance in the opening inning, with Shubman Gill, Wriddhiman Saha, and Sai Sudarshan out for a couple of runs, Rahul Tewatia and Shahrukh Khan came onto the crease. On the 13th over, when Vijaykumar bowled to Rahul Tewatia, Tewatia pushed it with soft hands towards the backward point region. Tewatia was looking at the ball, meanwhile, Shahrukh Khan went for a run, but Tewatia sent him back.
Subsequently, Shahrukh turned back and looked to get back into the crease, but Virat Kohli in the mentioned region collected the ball with one hand and hit the bull’s eye at the bowler’s end. Watch the video below:
The bullet throw sent back Khan, who scored 37 runs off 24 deliveries and was determined to salvage GT’s innings. The wicket was also applauded by Cameron Green, as he reacted animatedly in awe of Kohli’s athleticism.
Known for his sprinting ability and as a reputed fielder, Virat contributed to the already growing woes of Gujarat with their batting lineup. Meanwhile, Virat Kohli has been impressive himself with the bat throughout this IPL season, bagging 500 runs in 10 matches.
