LSG coach Sridharan Sriram seemed hopeful for pacer Mayank Yadav’s return against Rajasthan Royals with a final decision to be made on the day of the match.
The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are keeping their fingers crossed for the return of pace sensation Mayank Yadav in their upcoming match against the Rajasthan Royals on Saturday, April 27th. Yadav suffered a lower abdominal strain during their match against the Gujarat Titans, forcing him to leave the field after bowling just one over.
Speaking at a pre-match press conference on Friday, LSG assistant coach Sridharan Sriram provided an update on Yadav’s condition. “He is bowling today and looks fit. But we will have a final test ahead of the game tomorrow, and then only we will take a call on his participation against RR,” said Sriram, as quoted by NDTV.
Then Sriram went on to praise Yadav’s talent and impact on the team. “He is a terrific talent. And from the place he comes from, he knows very well what to do and what not to do. The quality he has with his length is not inferior to others in this season’s IPL. With that pace, it is very hard to play shots against him, and that is what makes him special,” remarked the coach.

Yadav has been a key contributor for LSG thus far, picking up six wickets in his three appearances. He has not only impressed with his raw speed and wicket-taking capability, but he also has an impressive economy rate of 6.00, which is remarkably good for a T20 bowler.
Nevertheless, as the coach stated, the final decision on Yadav’s participation will be made after a final evaluation on Saturday. His return would be a significant boost for LSG’s bowling attack as they take on the Rajasthan Royals in what promises to be a thrilling encounter.
