Virat Kohli and Rinku Singh had a humorous exchange about a bat Kohli gave Rinku, which Rinku accidentally broke.
Ahead of the Sunday clash between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Virat Kohli and Rinku Singh engaged in a humorous exchange regarding a gift that Kohli had given to the latter.
A video shared on the Kolkata Knight Riders’ official X handle captured the two players exchanging banter, with Virat Kohli appearing visibly irked at Rinku’s comments. Watch the video below:
In the video, Rinku is seen inspecting Kohli’s bats and admitting that he had broken the bat to a spinner gifted to him by Kohli himself. Kohli initially seemed surprised but soon grew annoyed as Rinku attempted to pacify him with his comments and persuade him to give him another bat.
In a previous encounter between the two sides at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru last month, KKR emerged victorious by seven wickets. After the match, Rinku had the opportunity to visit the RCB dressing room and meet Kohli, who then gifted him a bat.
The video circulating online saw Rinku saying, “Apki kasam kha raha hu, fir nahi todunga kabhi bat (I swear on you, I will never break the bat again),” in an attempt to mend the situation. However, Kohli refused to give him another bat, expressing his concern that it might lead to consequences for him later on. “2 match mei tujhe 2 bat du? Teri vajah se na jo meri bad mei halat hoti hai na (You want 2 bats in 2 matches? Because of you I face consequences later)” remarked Kohli.

In terms of their head-to-head record, KKR has emerged victorious in 20 out of the 34 matches they have played against RCB in the IPL. With the April 21st match at Eden Gardens, RCB will be putting up a strong fight as it is virtually their last chance to stay in the tournament.
